Pentabus Theatre

The vision of Pentabus is to be the nation’s rural theatre company. It's mission is to develop and produce quality new theatre about the contemporary rural world. To tour the country with plays that have local impact and national resonance. To turn up in peoples’ village halls, theatres and digital backyards, connecting audiences nationwide.

Press Comments & Testimonials

"Pentabus Theatre Company skilfully shatters any image of a sleepy, bucolic England"

“It’s great to have a producing company concerned with contemporary rural lives, reflecting back to local communities and showing people that despite mass media urban-centricity, rural life is rich, dynamic and culturally relevant."

Village hall promoter Mark on our work

“Pentabus is a unique and outstanding small company, the only one with deeply rural roots. Pentabus punches well above its weight, taking brilliant new work on the road... extending their reach and identity. Pentabus uncovers and distributes talent at the grass roots that feeds, provokes, sustains and inspires the rest of us.”
