Nigerian-born poet, playwright and performer Inua Ellams was invited to perform at Auckland Writers Festival and Sydney Writers Festival

At Auckland Writers Festival, Edinburgh Showcase artist Inua Ellams took participants on Midnight Run - a pre-planned, well-lit tour of the city – eating, playing games, visiting venues, writing poetry and generally having fun in public. As part of the Sydney Writer’s Festival, Ellams performed Black T-Shirt Collection, a one-man show of spoken word and animation exploring brotherhood, homophobia and global capitalism, which draws on his own experiences of growing up in Nigeria, immigration and of living in the UK today.
