Our Edinburgh Showcase is a biennial platform of contemporary UK performance featuring some outstanding small- and middle-scale touring productions made in the UK and selected by us from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
We invited more than 200 delegates to attend the Showcase, drawn from the international performing arts sector, and including key programmers, producers and agents. The primary objective of the Edinburgh Showcase is to develop new markets and broker new collaborations between UK practitioners and our global network.
The 2011 programme was curated by our Theatre and Dance Department in consultation with our panel of external advisers. We would like to sincerely thank all of the external advisers who gave of their time and expertise in creating this programme: Anthony Roberts, Ben Twist, David Fry, David Micklem, Helen Cole, James Tyson, John McGrath, Matt Burman, Mike Griffiths, Nike Jonah, Nina Steiger, Steven Brett, Clare Reddington, Fern Smith, Mark Ball, Rose Fenton and Shonagh Manson.

In curating the main Showcase programme, our aim has been to identify work suited to our current programmes around the world and to the interests of our partners in the different regions in which we work. – Brendan Griggs, Director Theatre and Dance, British Council
